2023 Central American & Caribbean Games - Day One EF

Today sees the first day of Event Finals competition at the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games, with Men's Floor Exercise, Pommel Horse and Still Rings and Women's Vault and Uneven Bars. First reserve Edward Rolin of Venezuela and third reserve Jabiel Polanco of the Dominican Republic come into the Still Rings final to replace Cuba's Diorges Escobar and Venezuela's Adickxon Trejo. Mexico's Isaac Nunez is replaced by compatriot Maximiliano Galicia in the Rings final. Second reserve for the Women's Vault final Karla Andrea Navas Boyd comes in to replace Aruba's Amika Every. Jorge Alfredo Vega Lopez (CCS) outclassed the field to take the Floor Exercise title over Venezuela's Adickson Trejo and Colombian Dilan Jimenez. It appears Cuban Yohendry Villaverde was injured. 2023 Central American & Caribbean Games Men's All Around Final

Cuba's Diorges Escobar earned the top marks on the Parallel Bars and Horizontal Bar on his way to winning the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games All-Around title. Dominican Republic's Audrys Nin Reyes was the high scorer on Vault and earned the silver medal in the All Around, with Colombian Dilan Jimenez earning the bronze medal. Panama's Richard Atencio did not start. Jimenez was the top scorer on the Floor Exercise, with Venezuelan Adickxon Trejo earning the high mark on the Pommel Horse. 2023 Central American & Caribbean Games WAG All Around Final

Panama gymnast Karla Andrea Navas Boyd wrote history as she won the Women's All Around title at the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games over Mexican Alexa Citlali Moreno Medina with fellow Panama gymnast Hillary Alexandra Heron Soto earning the bronze. Navas Boyd was the highest scorer on the Vault, whilst the top marks on Uneven Bars and Balance Beam were Alexa Citlali Moreno Medina and her compatriot Natalia Isabel Escalera Cardenas respectively. The top mark on Floor was earned by Hillary Alexandra Heron Soto. 2023 Central American & Caribbean Games - Men's TF, AA/EF Quals Results

The team from Mexico, consisting of Isaac Nunez, Fabian de Luna, Josue Juarez, Maximiliano Galicia, and Rodrigo Gomez took the Men's team title at the Central American and Caribbean Games which are being held in San Salvador. The team from Cuba won the silver medal over Colombia. Cuba's Diorges Escobar has qualified in first to the All Around final over Colombian Andres Martinez and Venezuelan Adickxon Trejo. Dilan Jimenez of Colombia topped scored to qualify to the Floor Exercise final over Escobar and Jorge Vega Lopez (CCS). 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games Women's Artistic TF & AA/EF Qualifications

Today sees the Women's Artistic Gymnastics Competition begin at the 2023 Centroamerican and Caribbean Games which is being held in San Salvador. Barbados declined the invitation to compete meaning the delegation of Puerto Rico has been increased from three to four gymnasts. After the first subdivision, the Mexican team has a commanding 10-point lead over Panama with Costa Rica sitting in third. Mexico's Natalia Isabel Escalera Cardenas sits atop the All Around rankings over compatriot Alexa Citlali Moreno Medina and Panama's Karla Andrea Navas Boyd. Moreno Medina also leads the Vault and Floor standings with compatriots Escalera Cardenas topping the Uneven Bars and  Paulina Campos Martinez top scoring on the Balance Beam.  The Team from Mexico remained dominant to win the team title over Panama with the team from Colombia winning the bronze medal. Senior Asian Artistic Gymnastics Champs - Day Two Event Finals

Today marks the final day of competition at the 2023 Senior Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships which have been held in Singapore. Men's Apparatus Finals on the Vault, Parallel Bars, and Horizontal Bar will be contested with the Women's Balance Beam and Floor Exercise Finals also being contested. Philippines gymnast Juancho Miguel Besana comes into the Men's Vault final to replace the Republic of Korea's LEE Junho, whilst on the Women's Balance Beam, first reserve Emma Malabuyo of the Philippines comes in to replace Uzbekistan's Dildora Aripova. Carlos Edriel Yulo won the Vault title over Uzbekistan's Abdulaziz Mirvaliev and KIM Jaeho of the Republic of Korea. Yulo also took out the Parallel Bars title over Japan's Shinnosuke Oka and China's YIN Dehang. China's TIAN Hao earned the Horizontal Bar honours over Shinnosuke Oka and Carlos Edriel Yulo who were second and third respectively. On the Women's Balance Beam, China's ZHANG Qingyin

Senior Asian Gymnastics Championships - Day One Event Finals

China's YIN Dehang comes into the Still Rings final to replace Korea's LEE Junho. Day One of the Event Finals sees the Men's Floor Exercise, Pommel Horse, and Still Rings Finals, and the Women's Vault and Uneven Bars Finals. The applause for Carlos Edriel Yulo was deafening. Philippines gymnast John Ivan Cruz comes into the final to replace China's TIAN Hao. SU Weide - lovely 2.5 twist to double front, front triple full, Randi, triple twist to finish. Couple of hops and low in the landing but no major issues. Quite light on his tumbling lines.  RYU Sunghyun - lovely first line, massive lunge on the second pass, solid ending. Few issues on landings. 2023 Senior Asian Gymnastics Champs - Women's TF/AA Results and EF Qualifiers

Japan and China have already earned their team quota spots for the 2023 World Championships in Antwerp, Belgium by virtue of their team performance at last year's World Championships. Joining them in Antwerp are The Republic of Korea who won the silver medal yesterday in the Team Final and Chinese Taipei who were the bronze medalists. China won the gold medal. Indonesia received a 0.1 penalty for not wearing identical leotards. China's QIU Qiyuan won the All Around title over compatriot ZHANG Qingying with Korea's SHIN Solyi winning the bronze medal. Korea's SEO Yeojeong is the top qualifier to the Vault final over the Philippines' Aleah Finnegan and China's ZHANG Qingying, whilst on the Uneven Bars, QIU Qiyuan outclassed the field with Korea's LEE Yunseo and China's ZUO Tong rounding out the top three. On the Balance Beam, ZHANG Qingying topped score over compatriot ZHANG Xinyi to qualify to the final with SHIN Solyi coming in as the third top qualifier

2023 Senior Asian Championships - MAG TF, AA and Event Final Qualifiers

The Chinese men's team consisting of LAN Xingyu, SU Weide, TIAN Hao, YIN Dehang, XIE Chenyi, and TA Yinga won the 2023 Senior Asian Artistic Gymnastics Team Title over the team from Japan who took the silver medal over the contingent from Kazakhstan. Japan's Shinnosuke Oka won the All Around title over Carlos Edriel Yulo of the Philippines with fellow Japanese gymnast Takeru Kitazono earning the bronze medal. Yulo was the top qualifier for the Floor final over China's SU Weide and Kazakhstan's Milad Karimi. On the Pommel Horse, Japan's Ryota Tsumura topped the field over Kazakhstan's Nariman Kurbanov and Jordan's Ahmad Abu Al Soud, whilst on the Still Rings LAN Xingyu topped Yulo and Hong Kong's NG Kiu Chung. Yulo topped the Vault standings over the Republic of Korea's KIM Jaeho and Uzbekistan's Abdulaziz Mirvaliev and is also the top qualifier on the Parallel Bars over Oka and Kitazono.
