2021 Olympics - Women's All Around Final

 Today, the Women's All-Around Final will be contested at the Ariake Gymnastics Centre. United States of America's Jade Carey comes in to replace compatriot Simone Biles who has withdrawn with all the support of the world to focus and put herself and her mental health first. Biles is being evaluated daily to see whether she will participate in the event finals. Dutch gymnast Lieke Wevers also comes into the competition to replace Canadian Elsabeth Black who has withdrawn due to a sprained left ankle. Black remains hopeful to compete in the Balance Beam final. 

After the first rotation, Rebeca Rodrigues de Andrade leads over USA's Jade Carey and ROC's Angelina Melnikova. After a fantastic Uneven Bars rotation, Andrade leaves over Sunisa Lee of the United States and Melnikova. Heading into the final rotation, Lee leads over Russian Vladislava Urazova and Andrade. Successful inquiry from Andrade sees her move her into second. And our 2021 Olympic Women's Artistic All-Around Champion is..... SUNISA LEE!!!!

2023 Central American and Caribbean Games Women's Artistic TF & AA/EF Qualifications

Today sees the Women's Artistic Gymnastics Competition begin at the 2023 Centroamerican and Caribbean Games which is being held in San Salvador. Barbados declined the invitation to compete meaning the delegation of Puerto Rico has been increased from three to four gymnasts. After the first subdivision, the Mexican team has a commanding 10-point lead over Panama with Costa Rica sitting in third. Mexico's Natalia Isabel Escalera Cardenas sits atop the All Around rankings over compatriot Alexa Citlali Moreno Medina and Panama's Karla Andrea Navas Boyd. Moreno Medina also leads the Vault and Floor standings with compatriots Escalera Cardenas topping the Uneven Bars and  Paulina Campos Martinez top scoring on the Balance Beam.  The Team from Mexico remained dominant to win the team title over Panama with the team from Colombia winning the bronze medal.
