2021 Olympics - Women's All Around Final

 Today, the Women's All-Around Final will be contested at the Ariake Gymnastics Centre. United States of America's Jade Carey comes in to replace compatriot Simone Biles who has withdrawn with all the support of the world to focus and put herself and her mental health first. Biles is being evaluated daily to see whether she will participate in the event finals. Dutch gymnast Lieke Wevers also comes into the competition to replace Canadian Elsabeth Black who has withdrawn due to a sprained left ankle. Black remains hopeful to compete in the Balance Beam final.  After the first rotation, Rebeca Rodrigues de Andrade leads over USA's Jade Carey and ROC's Angelina Melnikova. After a fantastic Uneven Bars rotation, Andrade leaves over Sunisa Lee of the United States and Melnikova. Heading into the final rotation, Lee leads over Russian Vladislava Urazova and Andrade. 2021 Olympics - Men's All Around Final

Today's competition in Artistic Gymnastics sees the Men's All-Around Final take place in the Ariake Gymnastics Centre. Japan's Daiki Hashimoto was the top scorer in the qualifications over Russian Olympic Committee's Nikita Nagornyy and China's XIAO Ruoteng. Illia Kovtun - hop back. Where's Illia's coach? Joe Fraser - Double front half-out, few hops back on a couple of his landings but a solid start. LEE Junho - big step forward on triple twist vault. Philipp Herder - a couple of massive steps forwards on double front. XIAO Ruoteng - SOLID! Brody Malone - great routine on the Pommel Horse. Caio Campos Souza - Swing into strength element, hop back on the dismount. Nikita Nagornyy - double front pike half out, double twist to double front, solid tumbling, double-double,  double twist, half in half out. Step out of bounds. 2021 Women's Artistic Gymnastics Olympic Team Final

What an exciting and drama-filled final it was. Simone Biles withdrew after a scary-looking vault citing her mental and emotional health. Sunisa Lee stepped in on Floor Exercise and Jordan Chiles competed on the Uneven Bars and Balance Beam. Russian Olympic Committee won the Team Title with Great Britain earning the bronze medal. ROC wore a gorgeous blue and white leotard with diamantes. Red and yellow leotard with silver diamantes for China. Stylish white leotard with blue and white patterning and silver diamantes for France. Belgium wore a black sleeved with silver diamantes and red, gold, and black diamantes with the white bottom half. Italy wore a stunning deep blue leotard with silver diamantes and mesh-looking sleeves. Japan wears a white and blue leotard with diamantes. 2021 Olympics - Men's Team Final

After the first rotation, Japan leads over the Russian Olympic Committee and the People's Republic of China. After the second rotation, the Russian Olympic Committee leads over Japan. Switzerland moves up to fourth - 0.33 behind China!! At the halfway mark, ROC leads Japan and China (0.002 margins between these two)! After rotation four, ROC leads over China and Japan. ROC has a narrow margin of 0.640 of China going into the final rotation with Japan in third. 2021 Olympics - MAG Qualification (After Subdivision 3 OF 3)

And here we go... the final subdivision is about to begin!! Teams to go in the final subdivision are Germany, the U.S., the Republic of Korea, and Chinese Taipei. Individuals from Turkey, Italy, the Philippines, France, Uzbekistan, Lithuania, Norway and Azerbaijan will also round out the day's qualification. Japan, China, the Russian Olympic Committee, the United States, Great Britain, Germany, Switzerland, and Ukraine will contest the Men's Team Final. Daiki Hashimoto of Japan goes into the Men's All-Around Final as the highest qualifier over Nikita Nagornyy of Russia and XIAO Ruoteng of China. Israel's Artem Dolgopyat topped the Floor Exercise qualification over Nagornyy and RYU Sunghyun of the Republic of Korea. The Pommel Horse final is expected to be extremely exciting with three gymnasts sharing the top mark with LEE Chih Kai of Chinese Taipei coming out on top with Ireland's Rhys McClenaghan and Japan's Kohei Kameyama tying for second place. Artistic Gymnastics at the Tokyo Olympics will take place at the Ariake Gymnastics Centre from the 24th July to the 3rd of August, whilst the Trampoline Gymnastics will take place on the 30th and 31st of July and Rhythmic Gymnastics will take place on the 6th to the 8th of August.
