Romania Triumphs taking Junior Team Title; Ana Barbosu dominates AA and Quals

Day 2 of the Women's Artistic Gymnastics European Championships from Mersin, Turkey. The Romanian Juniors team dominated the team competition winning the gold over Ukraine and Hungry.  Romania topped the All Around competition with Ana Barbosu winning over Maria Ceplinschi and Ukraine's Daniela Batrona. Batrona finished in fourth in the rankings but due to the 2 per country rule received the bronze medal. Barbosu was the top qualifier to all four individual apparatus finals. Ukraine's Daria Lyska was the second top scorer on the Vault with Romania's Maria Ceplinschi in third, whilst on the Uneven Bars, Croatia's Sara Sulekic and Nika Kukuljan Frleta rounding out the top three. On the Balance Beam, Romanian Andreea Preda qualified in second with Turkey's Sevgi Kayisoglu in third. Malta's Tara Vella Clark has qualified in fourth to the Balance Beam final. Barbosu and Ceplinschi were first and second highest qualifiers to the Floor Exercise final with Hungary's Greta Mayer qualifying in third.

Day 2 EF - 2024 MAG Asian Championships

Today marks the final day of competition at the Asian MAG Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The Senior Men's Vault, Parallel Bars and Horizontal Bar finals will be contested along with all six finals for the Junior Men (see separate post) for the Junior results.
