2020 Women's Artistic Euros Senior Event Finals

We come now to the final session of the 2020 Women's Artistic Gymnastics Championships which have been held at the Mersin Gymnastics Hall in Mersin, Turkey. It may have felt different with a number of countries not competing due to COVID-19 but it has been a fantastic competition.

Elina Vihrova is wearing a gorgeous black leotard with silver and blue patterning and diamantes. Csenge Maria Bacskay is wearing a black leotard with silver and diamantes. No one touch for the gymnasts, we are straight into it. Vihrova - gorgeous start - step back. Low on landing and step forward on the second vault. Bacskay - Solid first vault, slightly off-center on the table and landing; beautiful second vault. Kovacs - same leo as Bacskay. Small hop back but a solid start. Stuck but slightly off-center on the landing of the second. Dilara Yurtdas - black, white pink and blue (purple?) leo with blue patterning on side - solid start with great form in the air. Great form in the air with a hop to the side on the landing. Stanciulescu - grey, red and blue leotard, yellow patterning on the sides with diamantes. Step back on the landing. Easier second vault with a large step on the landing. Motak - navy leo with bold silver diamantes. Great first vault. Solid second vault with the off-center landing and hop back. Iordache - white and black leo. Gorgeous. Lovely first vault, lands off to the side slightly and a big hop back. Beautiful second vault, hop back. Silver and black leo for Korent whose vaults I missed. Hungarian Zsofia Kovacs wins the vault title over Iordache and Ukraine's Anastasiia Motak.

Up next we have the Uneven Bars final! Ukraine's Yelyzaveta Hubareva is wearing a sparkly white, yellow and blue leotard. Black and silver for Zwicker of Croatia and Zoja Szekely of Hungary. White with band of black with purple, pink and silver for Barbora Mokosova.  Hubareva is up first - Slight leg form issues in the routine, solid landing. Zwicker - Love her dismount. Was a great routine for her. Szekely - solid routine. Small form breaks towards the end of the routine. Vihrova - Fall. Finishes strong. Mokosova - quite a tall gymnast. Leg separation on first lower bar skills. She looks ecstatic. Solid routine! Iordache - Great routine for Iordache. Motak - Some slight form issues with this routine but solid routine. Kovacs - slight bobble on the handstand on the low bar but finishes strongly with a small hop back on the landing. Kovacs wins her second individual title of the evening - the Uneven Bars over her compatriot Zoja Szekely with Slovakia's Barbora Mokosova taking the bronze medal.

Bilge Tarhan - is that a navy leotard with diamantes. Solid routine with a couple of bobbles throughout. Hop on landing. Sfiringu - blue leotard with skin-colored paneling, red and yellow detailing. She's very business-like; large wobble and a couple of form errors. Iordache - phenomenal routine! Vihrova - Stuck dismount and a solid routine. Navy leotard with white and diamantes for Austrian Elisa Haemmerle. Off on her first leap. Another fall. Zwicker - a few bobbles and balance checks in the routine but a stuck landing on the dismount. Red leo with diamantes for Ukraine's Anastasiia Bachynska. Few balance checks including a couple of major ones but a stuck landing on the dismount. Anastasiia Motak - Great routine for Motak. Have really enjoyed watching her compete in Mersin. Larisa Andreea Iordache takes the Balance Beam honors over her teammate Silviana Sfiringu. Ukraine's Motak wins the bronze medal after the tie break rule was used between herself and teammate Anastasiia Bachynska.

Lovely red and white leo for Varinska. Teal leo with diamantes for Goksu Uctas Sanli. Navy blue leotard with silver diamantes for Angelina Radivilova. Varinska -"Sweet dreams are made of this"- gorgeous routine. Goksu Uctas Sanli - solid routine. Radivilova - Deep squat on the second pass, solid routine. Romanian Duta - in the black, red and blue leotard with the yellow detailing on the sides. Step out of bounds. Great routine. Black leotards with different diamante designs for Dorina Boeczoego and Zoja Szekely. Boeczoego - deep squat on the second pass. Szekely - hop backwards on her second pass ending up out of bounds. Otherwise a lovely routine. Lihie Raz of Israel - lovely blue leotard. Fantastic routine for her. Iordache - FABULOUS!! Goksu Uctas Sanli topped Iordache but an inquiry has been submitted. Inquiry was successful. Iordache wins the gold. History made for Turkey and Israel with Uctas Sanli and Lihie Raz winning silver and bronze respectively.
