2020 European WAG Championships - Senior Team Final

 Welcome to afternoon three of the 2020 Women's Artistic Gymnastics European Championships which are being held in Mersin, Turkey at the Mersin Gymnastics Hall. The competition today centers around the Senior Women's Team Final. Romania and Ukraine should be in contention for the title with Hungary and Turkey to challenge for the bronze medal, but as we know anything can happen. Three gymnasts for each team compete on each apparatus with all three scores counting towards the team total. Am in love with the leotards of all the teams. Rough start on beam with a fall for Czech Republic's Sabina Halova. Solid routine for Petra Furac of Croatia. Land to the side on vault for Ioana Stanciulescu. Great vaults from both Motak and Iordache. Hungary looks solid on Uneven Bars. Few issues for Turkey on Uneven Bars. Croatian Ana Derek looks solid on Beam, few minor bobbles. Great routine from Zsofia Kovacs on Bars. Love seeing all the gymnasts looking incredibly happy. A couple of bobbles for Christina Zwicker on Beam. After the first rotation, Romania leads over Ukraine and Hungary in a tight competition so far!

Cemre Kendrici - few bobbles on Beam; falls on jumps. Hop forward on dismount. Lovely lines on Uneven Bars for Anastasiia Motak. Step on dismount. Solid floor exercise for Magdalena Coufalova. Fall on release for Ioana Stanciulescu. Comes off again by jumping off on handstand. Short on handstand. Solid routine with some bobbles for Bilge Tarhan on Beam. Varinska on Bars - few form issues but good routine. Out of bounds on first pass for Dominika Ponizilova. Okay routine for Iordache. Bachynska - great routine. Goksu Uctas Sanli - Beam - off on acro series. Kovacs - Beam - Couple of bobbles throughout the routine. Aneta Holasova, hops out of bounds after first two passes. After the second rotation, Ukraine leads over Romania and Hungary. 

Trica - Beam - loss of form in leap series. Coufalova - hop forward. Kendrici - lovely to hear the crowd get behind her. Solid routine. Motak on Beam - fall. slight bobbles. Step forward on dismount. Step forward but solid vault for Petra Furac. Mirill Makovits - fall to hands on first pass. Bilge Tarhan - Solid routine. Bachynska - a couple of bobbles throughout the routine. Boeczoego - Lovely routine! Few minor bobbles for Iordache but solid. Uctas Sanli - Seemed to go out of bounds but such a beautiful routine, especially in her dance. Varinska - a couple of bobbles and form breaks but stays on the beam. Heading into the final rotation, Ukraine leads over Romania with Hungary in third. Croatia is in fourth over Czech Republic with Turkey in sixth. 

Varinska - love this music. Solid routine. Yavuz - fall on Vault. Looks to be injured. Sabina Halova - solid routine for her. Duta - great form in her tumbling and lovely height on the leaps. Bilge Tarhan - beautiful vault. Hop back on vault for Boeczoego. Radivilova - I've always been a fan of her on Floor.  Solid. Yurtdas - great vault! Stanciulescu - large hop forward on the final pass. Holasova - form issues on the dismount from the Bars. Solid vault for Bacskay. Hubareva - Solid routine on Floor Exercise. Kovacs - fantastic vault!! Iordache - massive hop back on her third pass. She's all class. Solid! UKRAINE ARE OUR 2020 EUROPEAN SENIOR WOMEN'S TEAM CHAMPIONS!!!!! Romania in second and Hungary take the bronze!! The Shooting Star Award goes to Ana Derek of Croatia!!

    2023 Central American and Caribbean Games Women's Artistic TF & AA/EF Qualifications

    Today sees the Women's Artistic Gymnastics Competition begin at the 2023 Centroamerican and Caribbean Games which is being held in San Salvador. Barbados declined the invitation to compete meaning the delegation of Puerto Rico has been increased from three to four gymnasts. After the first subdivision, the Mexican team has a commanding 10-point lead over Panama with Costa Rica sitting in third. Mexico's Natalia Isabel Escalera Cardenas sits atop the All Around rankings over compatriot Alexa Citlali Moreno Medina and Panama's Karla Andrea Navas Boyd. Moreno Medina also leads the Vault and Floor standings with compatriots Escalera Cardenas topping the Uneven Bars and  Paulina Campos Martinez top scoring on the Balance Beam.  The Team from Mexico remained dominant to win the team title over Panama with the team from Colombia winning the bronze medal.
