2025 World University Games - RG Group All Around/Quals

After the first day of the Group competition at the Rhythmic Gymnastics at the 2025 World University Games in Rhine-Ruhr, Azerbaijan put in a dominant performance with the 5 Ribbons to lead the Groups All Around over Ukraine and Japan. Azerbaijan topped with the 3 Balls and 2 Hoops over Ukraine and Chinese Taipei, to win the Group All Around title. Ukraine won the silver with Japan the bronze. 2025 World University Games - RG Individual AA/Quals

Switzerland's Livia Maria Chiarello, who was originally named to the team, had been ruled out. After the first day of Rhythmic Gymnastics competition at the 2025 FISU World University Games, Individual Neutral Athlete Alina Harnasko leads at the halfway mark of the Individual All-Around over Anastasia Simakova of Germany and Uzbekistan's Takhmina Ikromova. Harnasko is the top qualifier for the Ball final over Ikromova and Simakova, whilst with the Hoop, Simakova was the top qualifier over Harnasko and Ikromova. Individual Neutral Athlete, Alina Harnasko top scored with the Ribbon and has qualified second to the Clubs final on the way to winning the 2025 University Games All Around title. Uzbekistan's Takhmina Ikromova finished second with Hungary's Fanni Pigniczki winning the bronze. Ikromova topped the Clubs qualification (with Pigniczki qualifying in third and has qualified second to the Ribbon final (with Simakova qualifying to the final in third place). ALL AROUND F...

It's Official!

( Image from United24 Media )  It's official! As part of the recent FIG Executive Committee Meeting, which was held on the 10th and 11th of July in Lausanne, three nationality changes were approved. These included: Junior Rhythmic Gymnast Stephanie Drositis whom previously represented France, and who will now represent Great Britain. Ignacio Yockers (former USA). Yockers competes for the Oklahoma Sooners and will represent Spain internationally, having recently competed at the Spanish National Championships, where he finished second in the All Around and on the Parallel Bars and won the title on the Pommel Horse. And one of the previously most speculated nationality changes, which has now been made official - Illia Kovtun will now represent Croatia, having represented Ukraine in the past. So I have been home unwell and have done some scouring of the FISU Member Federations websites (if available) to see if they have named their squads for the 2025 World University Games. The official website along with schedule can be found at:  https://rhineruhr2025.com/en/schedule#/general-schedule     N.B: Not in actual named starting order. UPDATE 14/7: After emailing the organising committee, they have revealed that start lists/competitor lists will not be available on the official website until the start of the University Games on the 14th July due to the potential late arrival of athletes. So I have been home unwell and have done some scouring of the FISU Member Federations websites (if available) to see if they have named their squads for the 2025 World University Games. 2025 Australian Champs - Senior International MAG Results

Jesse Moore of South Australia won the 2025 Men's Senior International All Around title at the Australian National Championships. Queensland's James Hardy finished second with Hinata Kabeya of New South Wales finishing in third. From the Nominative roster, Queensland's Vedant Sawant and David Tanner, Victoria's Matthew Roberts, Samuel Vagg and Oliver Dilnutt and West Australian Ryan Inouye did not compete. The team from New South Wales (Heath Thorpe, Hinata Kabeya, Jack Hall, Jose Caballero, Lachlan Smith, Logan Owen) won over Queensland (Mitchell Morgans, Aiden Frick, Alistair Hoole, Jack Riek, Hardy, Matthew Davies) and Victoria (Marcus Casamento, Nicholas Howard, Carlos Lai, Conor McGillivray, Zac Perillo and Josh Walker).
