2025 World Artistic Champs - EFs Day 1 Results
It was an exciting, penultimate day of competition at the Senior Artistic Gymnastics World Championships yesterday. Great Britain's Jake Jarman and Luke Whitehouse finished 1-2 on the Floor Exercise over Carlos Edriel Yulo of the Philippines. China's HONG Yanming won the Pommel Horse title with a tiebreak over Armenia's Khachatryan, with Patrick Hoopes of the U.S. finishing in third. U.S.A's Donnell Whittenburg won the Still Rings honours over Turkiye's Adem Asil and China's LAN Xingyu. China's DENG Yalan seemed to have an off run up to her first vault, jumping over the horse and after consultation did not complete a second vault and is recorded as a DNS. Individual Neutral Athlete Angelina Melnikova took the title over Canada's Lia-Monica Fontaine with Joscelyn Roberson taking out third place. Kaylia Nemour of Algeria outshone the field on the Uneven Bars to take the World title with Melnikova finishing second after a tiebreak was applied between herself and China's YANG Fanyuwei. Hungary's Zoja Szekely competed despite having two fractured knees, sustained during the All Around final.
