2025 World University Games - Men's and Women's Apparatus Finals

We come to the final day of Artistic Gymnastics competition at the 2025 World University Games, which sees all event finals being contested. According to the start list, Kazakhstan's Altynkhan Temirbek comes into the Floor Exercise final to replace Canadian Felix Dolci. Luke Whitehouse of Great Britain won the Floor Exercise title by 0.2 points from Japan's Shinnosuke Oka. The Republic of Korea's MOON Geonyeong won the bronze medal. Japanese Gymnasts Shoko Miyata and Kohane Ushioku finished one-two respectively on the Women's Vault, with Austria's Selina Kickinger rounding out the top three. Armenian Hamlet Manukyan won the Pommel Horse title over Japan's Hashimoto with American Patrick Hoopes rounding out the top three. China's YANG Fanyuwei absolutely dominated on the Uneven Bars, with Hungary's Zoja Szekely and Shoko Miyata rounding out the medal placings. 2025 World University Games - Women's All Around Final

We now turn our attention to the 2025 World University Games, Women's All-Around final. Japan's Shoko Miyata won the title over compatriot Mana Okamura, with Chinese Taipei's Tonya Paulsson winning the bronze medal. The top scorers on each event during the final were Belgian Jade Vansteenkiste on Vault (13.833) and Floor Exercise (13.600), Celia Serber of France on the Uneven Bars (13.633), and Okamura on Balance Beam (13.700). France's Alizee Letrange had an awkwardly sharp landing on her Uneven Bars dismount, withdrawing from the competition. She was taken to hospital for medical assessment and we wish her well and a speedy recovery (will update when we have an official statement). 2025 World University Games - Men's All Around

First up today from the 2025 World University Games from Rhine-Ruhr, Germany is the Men's All Around final. United States of America's Kai Uemura comes in to replace Turkiye's Mehmet Ayberk Kosak. Daiki falls from Horizontal Bar! But it's okay - Daiki Hashimoto wins the Men's All Around title over compatriot Shohei Kawakami, with Canadian William Emard winning the bronze medal. 2O25 World University Games - Women's Team Final/Quals

Today sees all four subdivisions of the Women's Team Final/Qualifications for the All Around and apparatus finals at the 2025 World University Games at the Messe Essen Halle 4. With no livestream of the first subdivision - well I feel a bit lost. Slovenia's Meta Kunaver did not compete and Ukraine's Anastasiia Zadvorna only competed on Uneven Bars.At the end of the first subdivision, Celeste Mordenti of Luxembourg leads the Vault and Floor Exercise standings, with China's YANG Fangyuwei and compatriot XIANG Lulu leading on Uneven Bars and Balance Beam respectively. In the All Around standings, XIANG Lulu leads over Mordenti and Slovakia's Sara Surmanova. Sabina Halova of Czech Republic did not compete Vault. Canadian Kahlyn Lawson is not competing today. With one subdivision to go, France leads the team competition over Turkiye and Canada. 2025 World University Games - Men's Artistic Gymnastics TF/Quals

Artistic Gymnastics Competition at the 2025 World University Games is underway at the Messe Essen Hall in Rhine-Ruhr, Germany. Today sees the first three of six subdivisions in the Men's Team Final and Qualifications for the All Around and Apparatus Finals. The first subdivision saw the Mixed Groups compete, with Czech Republic's Daniel Bago taking the early lead in the All Around and top scoring on the Floor and Parallel Bars. Uzbekistan's Ravshan Kamiljanov outclassed the field on the Pommel Horse, with Norway's  Niklas Marton Syverhuset  and Malaysia's  Chun Chen Ng top scoring on the Still Rings and Vault respectively. Poland's Kacper Garnczarek was the top scorer in the Subdivision on the Horizontal Bar. Felix Dolci scratches Pommel Horse. 2025 US Classic Senior Women's Results

Session 1 at the U.S. Classic is underway at the NOW Arena. After the first rotation,  RGA's Harlow Buddendeck leads from Ally Damelio (San Mateo) and Avery Moll (Buckeye). At the halfway point, World Champions' Reese Esponda leads Buddendeck and fellow World Champions Centre gymnast Brooke Pierson. Heading into the final rotation, Esponda leads from Pierson and Damelio. At the end of Session 1, Pierson topped clubmate Esponda with Ally Damelio rounding out the top three in the All Around. Izzy Stassi of Gym X-Treme has withdrawn from the competition, with Jayla Hang only competing on the Uneven Bars today. In the combined standings, WOGA's Claire Pease wins the Senior All Around title over Pacific Reign's Simone Rose and the University of Arkansas' Joscelyn Roberson. 2025 World University Games - Rhythmic Individual & Groups Apparatus Finals

How are we here, the final day of the Rhythmic Gymnastics competition at the 2025 World University Games already? Today sees the Apparatus Finals for both the Individuals and Groups. Things kick off with the Hoop Final, with Uzbekistan's Takhmina Ikromova winning the title over Germany's own Anastasia Simakova and Fanni Pigniczki of Hungary, who finished in second and third, respectively. In the Individual Ball Final, Germany's Margarita Kolosov won the title over the Individual Neutral Athlete Alina Harnasko, with fellow German Anastasia Simakova earning the bronze medal. We change to the Group competition, with the 5 Ribbons final about to get underway. The Group from Azerbaijan wins the 5 Ribbons title over Ukraine, with the Republic of Korea finishing in third. Harnasko dominated the Individual Clubs final, with Ikromova finishing second over Anastasiia Salos (AIN), whilst Ikromova picked up the Ribbon honours over Harnasko, with Kazakhstan's Aibota Yertaikyzy finis...

2025 World University Games - RG Group All Around/Quals

After the first day of the Group competition at the Rhythmic Gymnastics at the 2025 World University Games in Rhine-Ruhr, Azerbaijan put in a dominant performance with the 5 Ribbons to lead the Groups All Around over Ukraine and Japan. Azerbaijan topped with the 3 Balls and 2 Hoops over Ukraine and Chinese Taipei, to win the Group All Around title. Ukraine won the silver with Japan the bronze. 2025 World University Games - RG Individual AA/Quals

Switzerland's Livia Maria Chiarello, who was originally named to the team, had been ruled out. After the first day of Rhythmic Gymnastics competition at the 2025 FISU World University Games, Individual Neutral Athlete Alina Harnasko leads at the halfway mark of the Individual All-Around over Anastasia Simakova of Germany and Uzbekistan's Takhmina Ikromova. Harnasko is the top qualifier for the Ball final over Ikromova and Simakova, whilst with the Hoop, Simakova was the top qualifier over Harnasko and Ikromova. Individual Neutral Athlete, Alina Harnasko top scored with the Ribbon and has qualified second to the Clubs final on the way to winning the 2025 University Games All Around title. Uzbekistan's Takhmina Ikromova finished second with Hungary's Fanni Pigniczki winning the bronze. Ikromova topped the Clubs qualification (with Pigniczki qualifying in third and has qualified second to the Ribbon final (with Simakova qualifying to the final in third place). ALL AROUND F...
