2023 Euros - Women's All Around Final

Tonight sees the Women's All-Around final at the Antalya Sports Hall and I expect it to be hotly contested. Great Britain's Jessica Gadirova comes in as the top qualifier, with Hungarian Zsofia Kovacs and Italian Alice D'Amato rounding out the top three in qualification. First reserve Bianca Frysak comes in to replace France's Marine Boyer who is out due to medical reasons according to the French Gymnastics Federation. Wishing Marine a super speedy recovery and we hope she is well. Believing in a smoother live stream experience tonight as well. Lovely navy and silver diamante leotard for Tanya Paulsson. Black leo with white sleeves and diamantes for Morganne Osyssek-Reimer. Ohhh I love Thorsdottir's leotard!! Actually, I am yet to see a leotard I am not a fan of. D'Amato's leotard, Kovacs', Gadirova's, and Vaelen's are stunning. Not a fan of the silver and black version of the British leotard that Georgia-Mae Fenton is wearing, and whilst I love Naomi Visser's leotard, not sure I am keen on the sides.

Paulsson on Beam - double wolf turn, solid acro series, bobble on side aerial and hands down, balance correction on her leap sequence, double back dismount. D'Amato - Beautiful vault to start. Ghigoarta - Maloney, misjudges her swings and comes off the Bars. Finishes strong. Zsofia Kovacs - hop back on DTY. Gadirova - hop back but solid DTY! Barbosu - Straight Tkatchev, lovely transition and solid dismount. Vaelen - STUNNING Rudi. Szekely - off on her mount, hands down on her side aerial, few bobbles throughout the routine. Thorsdottir - Hop forward on dismount but a great routine for her. Sarah Voss - another gymnast off on her mount, tried to hold on; bobbles and balance checks - she does not seem settled; solid dismount. Brassart - such a performer on the Floor! Casabuena - Maloney, pak salto, leg seperation, jaeger, lovely dismount. Vlkova - slight bobble on her first pass, interesting music, beautiful dance and interpretation. Petisco - confident mount, slight bobble on her turns, solid leap series, stuck double tuck dismount! Fenton - falls back and sits down yurchenko 1.5. Visser - Lovely single twist Yurchenko. Esposito - beautiful swing, short on a couple of her handstands, and a fall on her dismount. At the end of the first rotation, Belgium's Lisa Vaelen leads over Hungarian Zsofia Kovacs and Great Britain's Jessica Gadirova who are tied for second.

Rotation 2: Barbosu - solid mount, lands low on her front somi, couple of bobbles, leans forward but nice wolf turns, step on dismount. Great routine on Bars from Kovacs. Clean vault for Osyssek-Reimer. Thorsdottir - Such lovely work. Gadirova - small leg form issues on pak salto and step forward but solid. Kuusikko - Lands off to the side. Vaelen - Stunning routine! Westlund - Expressive dance, lovely routine. Casabuena - bobble on the mount, stays on, solid acro series, a bobble on her turns, huge lunge back on the dismount. Visser - Finishes strong on her routine, with slight issue at the beginning. Couple of hops back on vault for Tronrud. Esposito - measured routine, falls to knees on her beam dismount. D'Amato - solid routine, although it looked as though she had to take some extra swings. Lovely FTY for Selina Kickinger. Ghigoarta - great routine, a couple of bobbles. At the halfway mark, D'Amato leads over Vaelen and Kovacs. A great routine for Georgia-Mae on Bars. Oh, they showed Alba Petisco's floor!

ROTATION 3: Starting with Thorsdottir on Floor - hop back on first pass, low in the landing of her double back, beautiful and expressive dance. Gadirova - candle mount, solid routine. Vaelen - a few bobbles in the routine and finishes with a good dismount landing. Brassart - couple of form issues in the routine. Fenton - Solid beam routine for her. Petisco - Great FTY. Visser - has to count a fall on the beam. Esposito - lovely dance, solid double layout, solid leaps, finishes with a limp. D'Amato - Great save to start the routine, solid acro and leap series, slight bobble, another save on the wolf turns, solid dismount. Tanskanen - lovely vault - slightly off to the side. Kovacs - SOLID! Kuusikko - Shaposnikova, tkachev, pak salto, Maloney, solid. Barbosu - solid first two tumbling passes, wolf turn, lovely leaps, double pike, hands down on final pass. Heading into the final rotation, Kovacs leads D'Amato and Gadirova. Osyssek-Reimer - A few form breaks in the routine but lovely dismount.

Rotation 4: It's going to be right down to the wire. Vaelen - Such a performer, solid routine. Brassart - bobble to begin with, a few tentative moments on the beam, big acro series. Fenton - a great routine to finish her competition. Visser - another beautiful and expressive routine. Barbosu - nice Yuchenko 1.5. D'Amato - couple of small steps on opening pass, hop back on her second pass, slight lean on wolf turn, beautiful expression. Lovely vault from Thorsdottir but she looks tender. Kovacs - just manages to stay in on second last pass. Osyssek-Reimer - solid beam routine, big hop back on dismount. Gadirova - SOLID!! The 2023 EUROPEAN ALL AROUND CHAMPION is Great Britain's Jessica Gadirova who takes the title over Hungarian Zsofia Kovacs with Italian Alice D'Amato in third.
