2021 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships - Day 2 EF

Welcome to the final day from Basel, Switzerland of the 2021 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships. The top qualifier on the Balance Beam, Romanian Larisa Andreea Iordache is out of the final; first reserve Poland's Marta Pihan-Kulesza tore her ACL so is also out, meaning Ukraine's Anastasiia Bachynska will be competing today. Romanian Maria Ceplinschi also comes into the Floor Exercise final to replace Iordache. Sanne Wevers - lovely white and blue leotard with diamantes and gold and red detailing. Round off back handspring, wolf turn with full turn, Wevers, solid acro series, lovely close beam work, gorgeous spin combinations, stuck dismount! Regini-Moran - great Kasamatsu double twist. Step back on the landing of his second vault - Insane height. Marine Boyer - White leotard with red and silver diamantes. Roundoff layout - solid, the massive wobble in her turn, unique work close to the beam, solid leap and acro combination, seemed soft in the landing of the double pike dismount. Courtney Tulloch - Small hop back on Dragulescu,  deep squat on the landing of his tsukahara double pike - hands down. Anastasiia Bachynska - combination blue leotard with silver diamante patterning. Love her back dive mount, solid front handspring punch front, gorgeous leap series, bobble on front walkover,  bobble on turn, stuck dismount!!! Nikita Nagornyy - oohhh I love the patterning on his leotard. Slightly low and step forward on his Dragulescu. Tsukahara double pike - rolls out of it. Melanie de Jesus dos Santos - Blue and white leotard with diamantes, and lovely patterning in French colors on the sleeves. Rock-solid mount, solid in acro series, lovely work, move forward on the NEW dismount. Artur Davtyan - Huge step sidewards and outside of the lines on Kasamatsu double, hop-forward and massive amplitude on his second vault. Lieke Wevers - lovely red sleeves with blue and white, gold lion, and diamantes. Solid mount, off on her acro series, beautiful spins, lovely side somi, love her close to the beam work, small hop on the Gainer full. Igor Radivilov - Slightly low chest in RI Se Gwang, big score. Tsukahara double pike - massive step back. Martina Maggio - Black leotard with silver diamantes with Italian stripe. Solid mount, bobble on the acro series, bobble on split leap, side somi, seriously love the close beam work, bobble on full turn, solid landing on the 1.5 twist dismount. Yahor Sharamkou - solid first vault, slightly low chest on his Dragulescu vault. Amelie Morgan - red, blue, and white Leo with diamantes, BHS Layout, layout mount, leaps to Korbut, grabs the beam on her wolf turn, solid leaps, nice dismount, small hop. Andrey Medvedev - Great tsuk double pike- small form issues on the landing; steps on the landing but great vault! Elina Vihrova - gorgeous red and black leotard with diamantes, fall on the acro series, finishes solidly - such composure after a nasty looking fall, hop back on the landing of her dismount. Loris Frasca - Form issues on the landing of his kasamatsu double, serious troubles on the landing of his second vault. Melanie de Jesus dos Santos of France wins the Balance Beam title over Sanne Wevers of the Netherlands with Anastasiia Bachynska taking the bronze medal!!! Love that Sanne Wevers is giving some coaching advice to Elina Vihrova!! Ukraine's Igor Radivilov wins the Vault honours over Andrey Medvedev of Israel with Giarnni Regini-Moran of Great Britain in third.

Carolann Heduit comes in for Giulia Steingruber. Kim Bui - black, white and red gradient leotard with patterning. Wolf turn, double layout, double back, lovely combo pass, step back on her double pike dismount. Beautiful routine. Lukas Dauser - lovely work, massive hop forward on the dismount. Angelina Melnikova - lovely light blue leotaed with white sleeves and diamantes. Was she OOB on the first pass? Had to tell, was close though. Solid full twisting double layout, high leap series, lovely wolf turn, solid double pike to finish. Nikita Nagornyy - slight form breaks in his beginning elements and a hop back on his dismount. Carolann Heduit - Blue, red and white leotard with solid red stripes and diamantes. Slight bobble on her first pass Arabian double front, injured on her first pass. Locked leg landing. Ahmet Onder - Massive form break and comes off. Viktoriia Listunova - white leo, blue mesh sleeves with red diamantes and silver patterning. Hop forward on opening pass, fall on her second pass, seems to fall out of her wolf turn, solid double tuck to finish. Ferhat Arican - SOLID! Only one noticeable form break. Vanessa Ferrari - white and black leotard with diamantes. LOVE IT. Small hop-forward out of her opening pass, falls out of her held leg up turn, solid third tumbling pass - full twisting double tuck, lovely dance, great finish. Illia Kovtun - great routine, couple of small form issues. Martina Maggio - solid routine, a couple of bobbles on the landings (maybe oob on final pass). David Belyavskiy - Bhavsar, couple of form breaks. Maria Ceplinschi - red, yellow and navy leotard with silver patterning. Step oob on landing of first pass. Solid landing on the second. Lovely leaps and dance. Low on the landing of her final pass and hop forward. Pablo Braegger - calm and solid routine with a low landing and step forward on the dismount. Jessica Gadirova - lovely leotard! I adore the opening to this routine, Solid first pass, stuck second pass, gorgeous leaps, great routine!!  Christian Baumann - great routine for Baumann! Great Britain's Jessica Gadirova wins the Floor title over Russian Angelina Melnikova with Italian Vanessa Ferrari taking the bronze. Turkey's Ferhat Arican wins the Parallel Bars title over Russian David Belyavskiy. Germany's Lukas Dauser and Switzerland's Christian Baumann are the joint winners of the bronze medal!

And we now come to the final event - Men's Horizontal Bar! Ahmet Onder - SOLID! Takes out the problematic Cassina. Andreas Toba - swung wrong way out of Takimoto skill, Cassina, Kolman, hop forward on the dismount. Adem Asil - Missed his routine but I believe it was a great routine. Krisztian Balazs - Comes off on his Kolman as not get his hands around the bar, Great swing and amplitude. Step back on double layout dismount.  Christian Baumann - super height but catches close to the bar, a couple of form deductions. Step on double-double layout dismount. David Belyavskiy - Solid routine! Stuck dismount!! He swings on the Horizontal Bar so well. Carlo Macchini - Pegan, piked kovacs, Kolman, a couple of significant form breaks, hop on the dismount. Pablo Braegger - misses his Kolman and falls. Repeats the element successfully. Finishes solidly - stuck dismount. Russian David Belyavskiy takes the Horizontal Bar title over Germany's Andreas Toba and Turkey's Adem Asil!!
